Day Of Coordination
What is a “Day of” Coordinator?
Answer: A person who directs the timing and help alleviate a lot of the stress associated with the logistical coordination of the day. As well as reduce the pressures of the final days of planning.
A day of coordinator can be for both a wedding or a special event. They are logistically focused and available to you to get everything organized as you lead up to the day of the wedding or event.
It begins with a comprehensive consultation several weeks prior to the event date to gather timeline information. A customized timeline method ensures that everything comes together just as the client envisions and matches the contracted vendor obligations. The more information the coordinator has the better coordinating we can do.
This includes asking vendors for their input, what they need to make their job, its setup easier and more efficient, so it is a joint effort – a teamwork environment – not telling them what to do.
A planner can see problems before they even arise. Adjustment suggestions come from an acquired intuitive awareness and perception for handling events and their situations.
It is important to trust the coordinator. It is our job are to be a resource, provide amazing recommendations, give advice and guidance and point out where we think we should take a second look at.
Coordinators are in constant communication with the couple or the event hosts and all the vendors leading up to and including the wedding event. They act as the “point person” for the venue, vendors and guests, monitor and set up wedding details, are present for a final walk through, organize the bridal party and family for the ceremony and last-minute problem solvers.
Add-on options such as rehearsal coordination, DIY project assistance, venue coordination, plus packages for the bride who needs more assistance than just the day of are always available. Your level of participation can be adjusted according to your availability, but it is up to you to make the decisions and for us to partner with you to ensure your vision comes to life.
